Our ChurchWe are an independent, fundamental Baptist Church located on the north side of Bakersfield, California. First Bible Baptist Church was founded in 1964 by a group of people who saw a need for a Bible preaching church on the north side of the city. First Bible Baptist Church started a Christian school ministry, Golden State Baptist Schools, in 1979. We have grades K-12. Our school is a member of the Golden State Association of Christian Schools.A Brief Doctrinal Statement:We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Scriptures.We accept the King James Version as God’s preserved word.We believe in the Virgin Birth, the blood atonement, and the bodily resurrection.We believe in a pre-millennial, pre-tribulation rapture.We believe in the security of the believer.We believe in believers baptism, only by immersion.
