Pastor Sonny Padock'sTestimony & Christian ServiceI was born and raised on the island of Pingelap, Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. I got saved at a Bible study that was held at PICS High School. It was during this Bible study that I heard about the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ for the first time. I was so convicted of my sins that night I asked the Lord to forgive my sins and become my Lord and Savior. God answered my prayer and saved my dying soul that evening. At the age of 20 I surrendered to “preach the gospel” while attending PICS High School in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. After graduating from PICS High School in 1977, I went to the States to further my education at Western Baptist College (now Corban University), in Salem, Oregon. In 1980, I graduated from Corban University, came home and met and married my wife Lihna Yakana Padock who was just graduated from Bob Jones University a year before I graduated from CORBAN University. From 1980 to 1983, Lihna and I served at Calvary Baptist Church in Pohnpei in a variety of church ministries such as youth work, church soul winning outreach, translation work, teaching and preaching. In 1983, we went to Guam and served as church and school staff of Harvest Baptist Church before moving back to Pohnpei and began working in full-time Christian ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. I worked at Calvary Christian Academy as a school principal while my wife Lihna worked as a classroom teacher. In 1984, I helped Missionary Dalton Heath (a missionary from World Wide New Testament Baptist Mission) started a church work in Palikir. On April 25, 1992, the Capital Hill Baptist Church was established. In year 2001, I became the pastor of Capital Hill Baptist Church. Six years later in 2006, I joined World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions as a missionary serving the Lord in Micronesia. Our ministry here in Micronesia includes: Youth outreach, youth camp, home Bible study, and visitation, jail ministry, teaching at the Bible Institute of Pohnpei, and translating the King James Bible into Pingelapese language. Our family of 7 includes Lihna and me, three sons (Sonny Jr., Haworth and Roland) and two daughters (Sonya and Sonsha). We also have six grandchildren. So far the Lord has been good to us. He has provided for us and we are grateful for His faithfulness in supplying our needs. The Lord has blessed our ministry in Palikir, Pohnpei. We have purchased property for the Church and have extended our church building additional 20 feet long. Our church has grown from 8 families to 15 families. We give God the glory for all that He had done. We love the ministry that God entrusted us to do and the people we serve. God has increased our love and vision for our island people greatly over the years. We are excited to see just what God will continue to do in the future. In His Service, Sonny, Lihna and Family----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Contact address: Sonny & Lihna Padock, P.O.
