Description

New Testament Baptist Church (NTBC) is a place where people find life long friendships and love; a place where lives are established upon the promises of God’s Word. We are a family oriented church, with programs for all ages. We preach and teach exclusively from the King James version of the Bible. Our church is located in Kenny Hill, England just minutes from the US Air Force Bases: RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell. Our congregation is comprised mainly of a mix of British citizens and US military families.

We are excited about what God is doing in our church and invite you to join us when you arrive in the UK for our Sunday services and mid-week for our Wednesday evening prayer meeting. Hope to see you soon…

We believe the Bible is true. Every belief and teaching of New Testament Baptist Church
originates from God’s Word.

The Bible: The Bible in its original form is the inspired Word of God, the written record of His supernatural revelation of Himself to man, absolute in its authority, complete in its content and without error in its statements. (Psalms 89:34, John 10:35, Hebrews 6:18, and II Peter 3:16). We preach and teach exclusively from the King James (KJV), otherwise known as the “authorised version” of the Bible.

God: There is one God, eternally existent, the creator of heaven and earth. He is manifested in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1 and 2, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6, John 14:9, I Timothy 3:16, and I John 5:7).

Jesus Christ: The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God who took on the flesh of a man and lived on the earth. He is sinlessly perfect. He gave Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for mankind’s sin by shedding His blood and dying on the cross. He rose from the dead, to pay for all sins (past, present and future) for all who believe on His name. (Acts 13:38-41, II Corinthians 5:12, Titus 2:14, Hebrews 2:9, 9:12-28 and 10:10-13, I Peter 2:24, and I John 3:5).

Sin and Salvation: God is absolutely sovereign. He gave man a free will, to accept or reject the salvation that He provided through Jesus Christ. It is God's will that all should be saved and that none should perish. God foreknows but does not predetermine any man to be condemned. God permits man's destiny to depend upon man's choice. (John 6:64 and 65, Acts 10:34, Romans 8:29 and 30, II Thessalonians 2: 13, I Timothy 2:4, I Peter 1:2, and II Peter 3:9).

Each member of the human race is fallen, sinful and lost. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation. The instant a person receives Christ as his Savior, the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, who is sealed until the day of Redemption. (John 3:7, Romans 2:23, and 8:9, I Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 1:13 and 14, and Titus 3:5).

Man is saved by grace through faith and nothing of man enters into his salvation; it is the free gift of God. Works, no matter how good or well-intended, have nothing to do with it. (Romans 3:22 and 11:6, Ephesians 2:8 and 9, Galatians 2:16, Colossians 2:13 and Titus 3:5).

Eternal Security: Every child of God possesses eternal life. Believers are justified by faith, sanctified by God, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and secure for all eternity. Once saved you cannot lose your salvation. Through sin, a Christian can break fellowship with God and incur His chastisement. Fellowship depends upon obedience to God. However, the Father’s relationship with His children is eternal, starting at salvation. (I Corinthians 3:11-17, 5:1-5 and 11:30-32 and Hebrews 12:5-11).

Responsibilities of the Believer: A Christian should live righteously and maintain Godly works, not as a means of salvation, but as evidence and fruit of salvation. (Ephesians 2:10 and Titus 3:8).

It is every Christian’s duty and privilege to share God’s plan of salvation with the lost. (Matthew 29:19-20 and I Thessalonians 2:4).

The Local Church: We believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. He alone is the head of the Body of Christ, into which all true believers are baptized by the Holy Spirit upon salvation. All members of this one spiritual body should assemble themselves in and identify with a local church. (Acts 2:36, I Corinthians 12:13, Colossians 1: 18, I Timothy 3:9 and Hebrews 10:25).

We believe in the importance of the local church and that it is an assembly of born-again, baptized believers, united in organization to practice New Testament ordinances. The church should meet together for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, and to actively engage in carrying out the Great Commission.

We believe in the independence and autonomy of the local church; no religious hierarchy has any scriptural grounds to dictate in the affairs of any local church. (Acts 13:1-3).

We believe there are two ordinances given to the local church; Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is the immersion of believers; portraying the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s Supper is the partaking of the bread and the cup as remembrance of the broken body and shed blood of Christ, until he returns. (Romans 6:34 and I Corinthians 11:2 and 23-26).

The Last Days: We believe in the personal pre-tribulational and premillenial return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His pre-tribulational return will be in the air for the church and His return will be to set up His kingdom on the earth. (Isaiah 26:19-21, I Thessalonians 1:10 and 5:9-11, II Thessalonians 2:1-8, Titus 2:13 and Revelation 3:10 and 4:1).

There will be a resurrection of the saved and of the lost. The saved unto eternal life; the lost unto eternal, conscious punishment. These two resurrections will be separated by at least 1000 years. (Daniel 12:2, Matthew 25:41, I Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Revelation 20:5-15).
